Introduction to Gerryslandering



Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Gerryslandering. Gerrymandering is an intense issue across the United States, and it is defined as "the manipulation of an electoral constituency's boundaries so as to favor one party or class." Gerrymandering is used widely across the United States to group predominantly Black population, which tend to vote democrat, to suppress representation in congress for democrats.  This intentional grouping slanders the foundations of democracy and allows for partisanship to draw lines in their favor. In this blog I will be looking into what efforts have been made to combat gerrymandering and the effects of gerrymandering.
